The 7th European Workshop on Quantum Systems in Chemistry & Physics will be held in Slovakia during 2002. The emphasis of the workshop will be on innovative theory and its application together with developments novel computational methods. Further details are given below.

It is planned to publish the Proceedings of the Workshop in the International Journal of Quantum Chemistry.

FURTHER DETAILS
As in recent years, the length of the Workshop will be five days. Participants will be expected to arrive on Tuesday, 10 September, 2002. Transportation will be arranged from Vienna International Airport using the public bus service to Bratislava and then specially arranged coaches to Casta Papiernicka. Registration will take place from 15:00 through 19:00. The meeting will end after lunch on Sunday, 15 September, 2002. Participants travelling by air may thus benefit from reduced rates.
Accommodation is arranged on the wooded perimeter of the Casta Papiernicka site. There are fourteen apartments for double occupancy and a further 26 which can accommodate up to four persons. The "double" apartments are of generous proportions consisting of a sitting room, a bedroom containing two single beds and a bathroom. There is also a small kitchen area. The "quadruple" apartments consist of a sitting room, two bedrooms - each containing two single beds, a bathroom and a kitchen. There is a very limited number of single rooms with en suite facilities.
The number of participants at the Workshop is strictly limited and early application and payment is recommended. The total cost of participation in the Workshop for five days, including registration and social programme for everyone and room and board for resident participants and their dependents, is as follows:-

These prices include accommodation, full-board, conference fee, coffee and beverages during breaks, and a copy of the proceedings. The social programme includes a welcome party, a banquet dinner and an excursion to the castle at Cerveny kamen, one of the best preserved castles in Slovakia. Situated in the foothills of the Little Carpathian mountain range, Cerveny Kamen castle has a unique complex of cellars and an extensive collection of original household artifacts. The castle gallery contains works by old masters, predominantly from Central Europe. There is also a very good military exhibition.
The above costs DO NOT include accident or medical insurance. Every participant should carry his/her own accident and medical coverage from his home institution or company for the duration of the meeting.
Payment should be made before the 1st August, 2002. After this date a 10% surcharge may be applied. Payment should be made by money transfer in EURO to Account number: 1538141651/0200 to the Bank: VSEOBECNA UVEROVA BANKA, BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA. (SWIFT address: SUBASKBX FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS,PHYSICS AND INFORMATICS). The above amounts being net costs, the bank of the sender should be asked to put all exchange and transfer fees to the charge of the sender. PLEASE SPECIFY THAT THE TRANSFER IS FOR THE BENEFIT OF QSCP-VII.

A small number of bursaries will be available for younger participants, particularly from Southern and Eastern Europe. Applicants should typically be less than 40 years old and provide a curriculum vitae before 15 August 2002.
